1. Scope

1.1 This Standard specifies maximum losses for power transformers of types similar to or as described in CSA Standard CAN/CSA-C88. The losses specified are for normal designs of transformer, as described in the relevant clauses, but in addition losses are specified for some special designs that are also described.

1.2 This Standard applies to power transformers rated from 501 to 10 000 kV.A.

1.3 This Standard does not apply to autotransformers, grounding transformers, reactors, or any units that have load-tap-changing gear or tertiary windings.
